Cynthia Myers (Vocalist)Cynthia has performed in clubs with various jazz combos in both Canada and the U.S. In Victoria she was a featured vocalist at Pagliacci's and worked with both the Al Pease Quartet and the Big Band Trio. She was the bandleader and featured performer in The White Guys weekly cabaret at the Belfry Theatre.
In the San Francisco Bay area Cynthia was a member of the Reel Blondes Cabaret in Danville, and hosted a weekly gig with her combo Jazzette (www.jazzette.ca) at Kelly's of Alameda. Her work in Nova Scotia Cynthia is a feature performer with several local groups; the Gypsy Minstrels (classic 60’s tunes), Dr. Weird Beard’s Blues Revue (Chicago influenced blues), The Cynthetics and Swingology whose DC Taking A Chance on Love, was chosen by the Nova Scotia Music Awards for best jazz recording in 2014. Currently Mrs. Myers sings with MIRTH and is thrilled to be working with NIGHTFALL. |

Jordi Comstock (Drums)
Jordi Comstock lives in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia and is one of eastern Canada’s busiest session drummers. His schedule consists of recording sessions with many of our top players. Jordi is proficient in styles ranging from Jazz to Hard Rock. Jordi’s touring schedule includes international outdoor festivals, arenas, clubs, theatres and TV. |
Tom Meyers (Bass)
Tom began his musical career in Nova Scotia sitting behind the kit playing drums from an early age. When his life moved to San Francisco he developed the love of jazz guitar teaching himself how to play and performing in restaurants, clubs and theatres. Back home in Nova Scotia Tom found himself supporting several bands (on drums and bass ) the Gypsy Minstrels (classic 60’s tunes), Dr. Weird Beard’s Blues Revue (Chicago influenced blues), The Cynthetics (Jazz of the 40-50-60s) Global Centrics ( New Orleans inspired music). Tom took an interest in production and opened Blue Loon Studios where local peroformers have come to record their material; Jamie Junger, Avery Dakin-Clark and Swingology for whom he produced their 2014 CD which recieved Nova Scotia Music Award’s Best Jazz recording. Tom is an active member of the revised Halifax Music Co-op and can be heard locally with traditional fiddle band The Market Boyz. |
Aaron Bannerman (Trumpet)
Aaron is an Antigonish, Nova Scotia based musician who is active in a wide variety of musical genres. He received a Master of Music degree in jazz performance from Indiana University, and has performed in festivals throughout Canada, and internationally. Aaron was also a music director and musician for Carnival Cruise Line for over a decade.

Scott Leonard (Guitar)
Scott Leonard is a native of Halifax, Nova Scotia. Scott is a graduate of Dalhousie University where he majored in classical guitar. Since graduating from Dalhousie in 1983 with a Bachelor of Music Education, Scott has been an active performer as well as an educator. Scott has been a band director and music educator on the South Shore for 37 years. Scott’s professional resume is extensive. He has performed for over 40 years as a rock, jazz, and classical guitarist. Most recently, Scott has worked in the jazz field with Skip Beckwith and in the Pat Watson Quintet. Scott is the 2009 Musicounts Canadian Music Teacher of the Year (Juno). This national award recognized Scott’s contributions to band, guitar and recording arts education. |
